Join Science Heroes on a treasure-hunting adventure deep within the (virtual) jungle! Along the way, the audience helps the performer conduct exciting science experiments that bring this story to life! Experiment with chemical reactions, air pressure, physical explosions, and more!

A talented green thumb will lead an outdoor workshop to guide you in creating a charming patio planter, participants will plant a pot with an assortment of long-blooming annuals to take home for a summer of outdoor enjoyment (all materials will be provided).

In partnership with Mass Audubon, the Emerald Necklace Conservancy invites families with children of all ages to Scarboro Pond for a hands-on exploration of pond life and water quality. Pre-registration encouraged.

A good event to attend with your teen, Butterfly in the Sky tells the story of the beloved PBS children’s series Reading Rainbow, its iconic host LeVar Burton, and the challenges its creators faced in cultivating sounds of its a love of reading through television. Also features a post-film panel featuring Dorothea Gillim, Creative Director of GBH Kids, Julie Roach, Collection Development Manager for the Boston Public Library, and moderator Alex Schaffner, Community Engagement Coordinator for the Brookline Booksmith.

Meet the Fairy Tailor, hard at work in her enchanted shop, where dressing racks and laundry baskets are known to have a mind of their own. Watch as she transforms everyday garments into extraordinary characters, and shares stories of bravery, from “Little Red Riding Hood(ie),” to “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” With the audience’s help, the Fairy Tailor summons the courage to take a stand against a giant, crafting a solution that combines cleverness with creativity. This whimsical, interactive production is guaranteed to inspire audiences of all ages.
